Correctional RN Medical Team Administrator

Southern Health Partners Inc, a leading provider of healthcare services to correctional facilities across the US, is seeking a dedicated Correctional RN Medical Team Administrator to lead clinical operations within a correctional healthcare setting. In this highly impactful role, you will combine hands‑on nursing care with clinical leadership, ensuring the delivery of safe, high‑quality medical, dental, and psychiatric services to an underserved population while maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations. Working within the Healthcare & Medical Services department, you will oversee the daily function of the onsite medical unit, coordinate care with facility leadership, and support a multidisciplinary team committed to improving health outcomes and enhancing overall facility safety.

You will conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, manage chronic and acute conditions, administer medications and treatments, respond to urgent and emergent situations, and ensure accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record. As the Medical Team Administrator, you will supervise and support nursing staff, assist with hiring, orientation, and scheduling, and provide ongoing coaching to promote clinical excellence, teamwork, and compassionate, patient‑centered care. You will implement and monitor policies and procedures that align with Southern Health Partners’ standards and state and federal correctional healthcare requirements, including infection control, medication management, detox and withdrawal protocols, and psychiatric care coordination.

You will collaborate closely with correctional officers, providers, and external partners to coordinate off‑site referrals, manage hospital transfers, and communicate effectively about patient needs while maintaining security and confidentiality.

Your responsibilities will include monitoring quality metrics, participating in audits and chart reviews, addressing incident reports, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that support regulatory compliance and risk reduction.
