Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled short-form video editor who can create content that captures attention, maintains retention, and drives engagement.

This role goes beyond basic editing. You will be responsible for shaping raw footage into compelling short-form content designed to perform across Instagram Reels and TikTok.

Responsibilities

  • Edit short-form video content (15–60 seconds) for Instagram Reels and TikTok
  • Develop strong hooks within the first few seconds of each video
  • Add captions, motion graphics, and visual elements that improve retention
  • Repurpose long-form footage into multiple short-form clips
  • Collaborate with our team on content direction and execution
  • Continuously refine edits based on performance metrics (watch time, retention, engagement)

Qualifications

  • Proven experience editing high-performing short-form content
  • Strong understanding of pacing, storytelling, and audience attention
  • Experience with captioning styles and visual hierarchy
  • Ability to adapt editing style across different brands and tones
  • Ability to work quickly and meet deadlines consistently

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with marketing agencies or content teams
  • Understanding of social media performance metrics
  • Familiarity with current content trends and formats

Compensation

Compensation will be structured per project or as a monthly retainer, depending on experience and scope.
