Sheet Metal Welder Advanced

This is an Advanced level Welding Role. DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT HAVE EXPERIENCE, OR CANNOT WELD THIN ALUMINUM

SKILL TEST: will be conducted, welding .063\" THK Aluminum sheetmetal.

RANGE: $29 - $34hr, based on skills test results.

Job description:
We are looking for a skilled Sheet Metal Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in welding, fabricating, and assembling sheet metal parts to exact specifications. This role requires precision, strong technical skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Weld, fabricate, and assemble sheet metal components according to blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Must know how to weld sheetmetal Aluminum and Steel.
  • Perform TIG, MIG, and/or stick welding on various types of metals, ensuring welds are strong and consistent.
  • Set up and operate welding equipment, including adjusting voltage and amperage as needed.
  • Inspect finished welds and completed workpieces for accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications.
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of [5 years] in sheet metal welding or a similar role.
  • Must know how to weld sheetmetal Aluminum and Steel.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in TIG, MIG, and/or stick welding; able to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to produce accurate, high-quality welds with minimal errors.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift [50] lbs, stand for extended periods, and handle materials safely.
  • Certifications (Preferred): Welding certifications, such as AWS, are a plus.
  • Work Environment: Familiarity with manufacturing or fabrication settings and safety standards.
