[Remote] External DI Wholesaler

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. MassMutual is seeking an External DI Wholesaler to expand the reach of their Individual Disability Insurance solutions. In this role, you will build relationships with financial professionals, serve as a disability insurance expert, and drive sales results in your assigned territory.


Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain proactive sales relationships with financial professionals across your assigned territory by profiling advisors, deepening relationships, and expanding your advisor base to drive sustainable growth
  • Serve as a disability insurance expert, delivering sales ideas, product insights, and consultative support to help advisors address client income protection needs
  • Execute disciplined activity and territory management practices to identify, pursue, and maximize sales opportunities aligned with overall company objectives
  • Partner closely with an internal wholesaler to coordinate outreach, share insights, and jointly drive individual disability insurance sales results
  • Provide regular updates to sales management on territory activity, pipeline health, and progress toward sales objectives
  • Manage travel and expense budgets responsibly while maintaining strong field presence and advisor engagement

Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in disability insurance wholesale distribution
  • 2+ years of experience in an external wholesaling role
  • State Life and Health Insurance license at time of application
  • Must reside in Central, Mountain and Pacific Time Zones
  • Experience across multiple disability insurance distribution channels
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver effective sales presentations, including strong negotiation skills
  • Success building and sustaining relationships with centers of influence
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly developed interpersonal, organizational, and team-oriented skills
  • Comfort operating in a results-driven, field-based sales environment with shared accountability
