Power BI Specialist

Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Power BI Specialist to transform data into clear, actionable insights through interactive dashboards and reports. The ideal candidate is proficient in data analysis, visualization, and manipulation using Power BI tools, and has a strong foundation in data management and basic software development principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain dynamic reports and dashboards that communicate key business insights.
  • Utilize DAX and Power Query to implement data transformations, calculate running totals, year-to-date metrics, and other key measures.
  • Import, clean, and preprocess datasets—addressing issues such as duplicate entries, missing values, and outliers—to prepare them for analysis.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and develop visualizations that answer critical business questions.
  • Optimize data models and queries to ensure performance and scalability.
  • Apply logical reasoning and structured problem-solving techniques to transform raw data into meaningful analytics.
  • Integrate structured and unstructured data sources, and ensure the accuracy, security, and maintainability of dashboards.
  • Contribute to solution design and strategy for data collection, storage, and analysis, aligning visualization outputs with overall business objectives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Power BI, including essential functions in DAX and Power Query.
  • Solid background in data analysis, manipulation, and visualization.
  • Experience working with SQL and relational databases.
  • Ability to troubleshoot data issues and employ data cleaning and transformation techniques.
  • Familiarity with basic software development practices and design principles.
  • Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver quality work under time constraints.
